Your personal branding is a critical component of your overall business strategy. There is a lot good material written on branding and sometimes it can get very complex. Simple is good! So I have created a very basic set of questions to start your journey of defining your personal brand.

Some of the important objectives of any business is to make their target audience aware of their existence, connect and engage them, provide value, then build trust and the relationship. Personal branding enables you to create an easily identifiable persona as well as providing a mechanism for connection.

Your audience, no matter what industry or category, are more likely to do business with you if they can relate to you or your business’ values, personality and value proposition. Your brand story is yet another effective way to touch emotional and needs based desires in your prospects.  Personal branding is…well, a personal thing.

Once defined your branding message and presence has to be consistent and persistent. Varying your message, voice, values or stated value proposition will only create confusion and drive down trust within the minds of your audience. Confused or wary people do not buy! The Infographic above sets out 6 questions that you can ask yourself right now regarding your personal branding. If you can confidently answer them all and have built the results into your business then hats off to you!

If not…time to review your branding and give it a tweak.
